Creating Repo (Repository)

This topic explains the concept of the repository and provides detailed steps on how to create it. The repository is a server instance of your data source. It provides space or location to store metadata.

Here is the step-by-step process for creating a metadata repository.

  1. Log in to your Impetus LeapLogic Catalog.
  2. From the left navigation pane, select Metadata Catalog > Catalog.
  1. Click Asset Onboarding (+) on the Metadata Catalog page.
  2. Select Repository to create a repository (server instance). The Repository page opens, where you can create a repository to connect and catalog metadata from your data source.
  1. In Repository Name, enter a preferred name for the repository.
  2. In Database Type, select the required data warehouse or database.
  3. In Type, select the required database type and provide the required connection details.
