Step 1. Provide Primary Inputs

Creating an assessment is the first and foremost step to gaining the required insights for conversion.

1. Select Assessment > Create New or Assessment > View Report > CREATE ASSESSMENT on the left navigation pane.

The Create Assessment page opens.

In Name, provide your preferred assessment name.
In Source Code Type, select the required options to assess artifacts individually or in combination.

Note:

Ensure that the query log CSV file must have separator/delimiter as Double Tilde (~~)

How to change the double tilde?

For small size files-Import from CSV to Excel and then Export from Excel to CSV with double tilde separator.
For large size files-Import from CSV to Hive tables and then Export from Hive tables to CSV with double tilde separator.

Select the source type for the workload you need to assess (see the table above).
To upload the source file, choose any of the following:
- Browse Files: To select the file from the local system.
- Select From Data Source: To select the file from the data source.
To upload the EDW execution log, choose any of the following:
- Browse Files: To select the execution log from the local system.
- Select From Data Source: To select the execution log from the data source.
In Target, select your preferred target platform.

Additional Information:

If the selected source is Oracle/Teradata/Informatica/DataStage and the target is AWS/Databricks/Spark/Snowflake, you can turn on the Automation Coverage toggle to get the auto-conversion percentage.
