Classification

The Classification tab allows you to organize and structure tables based on your selected data architecture. It enables you to prepare tables for data product creation by classifying them into Medallion layers, business domains, or both.

You can choose a classification approach based on your architecture strategy:

Medallion Architecture: Classify tables into layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) based on data processing stages.
Data Mesh Architecture: Classify tables into business domains aligned with functional ownership.
Medallion + Data Mesh Architecture: Map tables to both layers and domains for a hybrid classification approach.

Once classification is complete, the tables are organized based on the selected architecture and are ready for data product creation.

You can review the classified data and proceed to the Data Product Builder to design or generate domain-aligned data products.
