Reports and Insights
The objective of Desktop application is to instantly draw out and present high-level insights about the legacy workloads. A lot more detailed reports are provided on the Web Application version. Nevertheless, you can download all the detailed downloadable reports (as generated in the web version) primarily as Excel and CSV files to gain more insights and understanding about your workloads.
What can be seen in the right-hand panel is mostly the summarized statistics.

This is LeapLogic’s signature report that presents featured insights related to Informatica ETL workloads. This report provides information about the existing workloads that helps to plan the next frontier of modernization methodically. Here’s a snapshot of the comprehensive Excel reports.

- Volumetric Info: Lists an aggregated inventory of every source Informatica file. For instance, it provides information about the total number of files, transformations, workflows, mappings, and a lot more.
- Duplicate Workflow Summary: Eliminates any duplicate mappings coming across different workflows. The matched conditions include:
- Unique: The workflow mappings are distinct from other workflow mappings.
- Partially Matched: When certain mappings are common in some other workflows as well.
- Matched: All the mappings of the two workflows are identical.

- Transformation Summary: Lists all the input source files along with the count of workflows, worklets, sessions, mappings, mapplets, and so forth available in the source files.
- Workflow Summary: Lists all the workflows existing in the Informatica files. It also provides statistical information about the worklets, sessions, mappings, mapplets, expressions, transformation components such as sequences, filters, joiners, and so on.
- Mapping Summary: Describes the flow of data between source and target. It lists all the mappings and the count of associated transformations such as expression input columns, expression output columns, aggregators, filters, joiners, and so on.
- DB Summary: Provides information about the files available in the databases. It displays the count of workflows, mappings, source files, target files, and so on.
- Workflow DB Summary: Provides workflow-level details. It includes the count of mappings, source files, target files, and so on.
- Custom Summary: Lists all the custom types.
- Macro Summary: Lists all the user-defined functions.
- SP Summary: Lists all the stage names and the associated procedures.
- Source Info: Lists a detailed inventory of the Informatica source files. For instance, it provides information about the folder names, database types, and so on.
- Target Info: Lists all the target files along with the database types.
- Informatica Scheduler Summary: Provides information about the schedulers including their type, start and end time, frequency, and more. The scheduler types can be:
- On Server Init: The jobs are triggered based on the availability of the server.
- Continuous: The jobs are continuously executed based on a scheduled time.
- On Demand: The jobs are triggered manually for execution.
- Unknown: The jobs do not belong to the above categories.
- Transformation Patterns: Provides details about transformations with similar patterns. It also includes information about transformation types, patterns, and occurrences.
- Mapping Patterns: Provides details about mappings with similar patterns along with the number of occurrences.
- Mapplet Patterns: Provides details about mapplets with similar patterns along with the number of occurrences.
- Workflow Patterns: Provides details about workflows with similar patterns along with the number of occurrences.
- Worklet Patterns: Provides details about worklets with similar patterns along with the number of occurrences.
Open costcalculator report which provides the pricing details based on the transformation-related activities. Pricing is determined not only based on activities but also based on the number of artifacts, duration for the transformation-related activities, complexity, and so on. Along with the pricing details, it also showcases the artifacts count, activities involved, and the time required for the activities.
You can also see a report generated with the name of the created assessment. In that report, you can get the information regarding various transformation-related activities and the estimated time along with the manpower required to complete the task.
